Getting Social
Activities: Field research (Interviews), Lead content author
Sometimes it seems like social media has been around forever, but it is relatively new. In 2011 and 2012, I helped to create two documents, HIV/AIDS Prevention Goes Social: Using Social Media to Create, Connect, and Come Together and HIV Prevention Goes Social Part II: Social Media Strategy, Policy, & Monitoring Workbook, to support organizations integrating social media more strategically and effectively. For each, I wrote the majority of the content and interviewed individuals from around the country working in HIV prevention and treatment to create case studies. Additionally, I worked with a colleague to identify and adapt worksheets to provide structured starting points for planning, prioritizing, and executing campaigns and programs.
I can’t take credit for the design - that goes to my friend and colleague Michelle, who I recommend highly if you need any design work done (or just some excellent conversation).
