Listen First. All else follows.

Some projects last a day. Some last a few years. Each one is an opportunity to grow.

Strategize

Having an external perspective can breathe fresh air into ideas. Combining levity and a type A personality, I’ve helped others brainstorm, identify and prioritize goals, incorporate user centered design practices, and put ideas into action in a way that gets results. I am the voice at the table reminding you that technology is in service of human interaction, and not the other way around.

Know thy audience

Everyone has a story to tell (even if they don’t know it yet) - it’s what drew me to this work in the first place. Taking the time to listen to the people you are aiming to serve will save time and money, and produce a better end result.

Communicate with impact

Whether you want to build trust, inspire action, or just get the word out, communication is critical. Having a social media presence is great, but are you engaging or merely shouting into the void? I’ll help you break through the noise, creating messages that stick and building relationships along the way. I’ve spent a career developing clearly written content (print, web, video, and social), developing campaigns, branding (or rebranding), and finding the right tone and voice to convey the message.

Below are some of the projects I’ve particularly loved. My resume has a few more details. even better, let’s talk!

Design thinking and complex project management

Developing a text based tobacco cessation program

Creating tools to educate and build skills

Launching a novel health innovation challenge

Social network analysis, identifying new ways of connecting
